When you are overwhelmed by flipping between different pages in Teams, try a pop out window so you can view multiple screens at once. You can pop out a chat tab or an app in Teams so you can converse with a colleague while working.

To Open a Chat Pop Out Window:

  1. From the chat tab, you can hover over a conversation and click the Pop out chat icon
Navigate to the po out icon next to the chat you want in a new window.
  1. You can also double click the chat conversation to pop out the chat.
Click the pop out icon or double click that chat to get a pop out window.
  1. To close the chat window, simply exit out of the window.

To Open an App Pop Out Window:

  1. Right click a pinned application in Teams
  2. Click Pop out app
Right click an app and click Pop out app to open a new window.
