Microsoft Lync Call Recording Function

Recently I worked with a client on a Lync proposal and they had a requirement that wasn’t brought up before but one that I could see being important to Lync down the line, call recording.  Now while the Lync solution can call record to a certain degree, it isn’t as fully robust as some would need.  After doing some research both technically and price based, I found that the AudioCodes SmartTAP solution is the best bang for the buck.

With its feature set, such as automatic logging, client to client recording and administrative rights, I knew this product would be good for my client.  But being the skeptic that I am, I wanted to look at other solutions as well.  They all pretty much do the same thing but are much more expensive.  Additionally, AudioCodes was the first Microsoft approved company to do call recording on Lync.  I’m glad that my client asked me about call recording because now I know exactly where to turn when a solution is needed.
