Microsoft Lync 2013 – How to Conduct a Poll

  1. You can organize a poll with a group of contacts – via instant messaging, phone, or audio/video conversation
  2. First, hover over the Monitor icon and select “Poll” – this will launch the Poll feature
  3. A poll in Lync consists of one question and up to seven possible choices. A meeting can contain many polls, but only one poll at a time can appear on the sharing screen
  4. Enter in your poll name, question, and choices
  5. Click ‘Create’ to launch the poll
  6. Your attendees as well as yourself can now vote
  7. Below you can click the ‘Poll Actions’ button to choose options within your Poll
    1. You may close the poll
    2. Make results visible or hidden to attendees
    3. Edit the questions and/or choices
    4. Clear votes
    5. Or save the poll
  8. Once finished click ‘Stop Presenting’ to conclude the poll feature
