Skype for Business Video Transcript
I’m going to show you how to check your voicemail with Microsoft Skype for Business. First, go to your phone tab. Then, you’ll see your voicemails listed under the dial pad.
When you hover over the image of the person who left the message, the Quick Launch Bar will come up, and you can hit the Play Button to listen to the voicemail.
You can call the message sender back with the Quick Launch Bar by clicking on the Call Icon. Or, you can also click here to view the sender’s Contact Card. If you click the More Options Icon, you can do everything offered in the Quick Launch Bar and more, like email the sender or schedule a meeting. You can also Open the Item in Outlook, and this will open the Voicemail Item in the Outlook App so that you can view more information about the message.
- If you are a Cloud PBX user, then you will be able to view the transcription of your voicemail by default.
- Microsoft’s Speech Technology does its best to listen to the voicemail and transcribe it for you here. You can also find this item directly in your Outlook inbox, or by navigating to the Voicemail Folder in Outlook.
- The words and phrases in the Voice Mail Preview text are automatically indexed, meaning your voicemail messages will appear in search results when you search in Outlook.
- In the Outlook Item, you can see the audio file here, so If I forward it, the audio file will be attached.
- Another useful feature is that you can click on any word in the transcription to start the audio from there.
- This is especially helpful if you can tell that the Microsoft speech software has gotten a particular piece of the message wrong, and you’d like to hear it to clarify.
Because Skype for Business is integrated with your Outlook App, all of your voicemails are saved automatically in Outlook. Only your most recent voicemails will show up in Skype for Business. But If you click View More in Outlook, this will open the Voicemail Folder in your Outlook App, where you can search for or sort through all of your voicemails.
