One useful feature in Microsoft Skype for Business is the Favorites Group

With Favorites Group, you can build a list of contacts that you interact with most frequently. This group appears by default at the top of your contact list, but if for some reason, you cannot see this feature, it’s easy to turn on:

  • You can see here, that I cannot see this feature at the top of my sontacts list. It would appear right here above my Other Contacts group
  • To turn Favorites Group on, click on the Options Icon, navigate to the Contacts List menu, and click the box next to Favorites Group.

Now the Favorites Group appears here at the top of my contacts list. You can move the Favorites Group or any other group up or down in your contacts list by right clicking and selecting ‘move up’ or ‘move down’

To add a contact to your favorites, right click and select Add to Favorites. Another way you can do this is to hover over a contact’s image, select the three dots icon, and then choose Add to Favorites.

You can add and remove people from this list whenever you want. If we go to my Favorites Group, we can see that Adam has been added. To remove him, I can either right click and choose Remove from Favorites, or I can hover over his image, select the three dots, and choose Remove here.

Now Adam has been removed from my favorites.

The Favorites Group is just one useful feature in Microsoft Skype for Business
