You can use tags in Microsoft Teams to get the attention of a small group of users when you’re in a larger team. Organize users and organize your communication with tags in Teams.

Manage a Team’s Tags

  1. Click the ellipsis next to your desired team. 
  2. Select the Manage Tags options. 
Navigate to the Manage Tags tab
  1. From here you can view and edit existing tags or select Create tag.
Click Create Tag to get started with a new tag
  1. To create a new tag, enter a descriptive title, any relevant details, and select relevant team members. 
  2. Once you are ready, click Create.

Use Tags in Teams

In a Teams post, enter in @ followed by the desired tag title to notify your small group. You can also start a new chat with tag members by entering the tag title into the recipients line.
