If you’re considering Microsoft Lync or Exchange, are you aware that you may eligible for financial assistance with your project if you work with a Microsoft Deployment partner?
A benefit for Microsoft Volume Licensing Software Assurance customers, Lync and Exchange Deployment Planning Services (L&EDPS) can help you plan a successful deployment, migration, or upgrade to Lync Server 2013 or Exchange Server 2013. Designed to help you assess opportunities for using the latest technology and drive productivity across your organization, these structured consulting engagements can be tailored to meet your unique needs and are delivered by qualified partners or Microsoft Services
The Lync and Exchange Deployment Planning Services provides structured engagements in several different forms:
- Office 365 FastTrack Planning Engagement. Work with PEI to envision an Office 365 solution and discover how the capabilities of Office 365 can help you to achieve your business objectives. Planning engagements are available in either a 3-day strategy envisioning session or an in-depth 10-day enablement and assessment planning engagement with recommended guidance and clearly defined next steps.
- Lync Deployment or Upgrade Planning. This Lync engagement introduces Lync 2013, assesses your environment, and identifies opportunities to improve productivity by deploying or upgrading to Lync 2013. Available in 1, 3, 5, 10, and 15-day lengths, with the longer engagements allowing for more in-depth planning.
- Exchange Deployment or Upgrade Planning. A customizable engagement designed to help quickly and efficiently plan your on-premises Exchange Server 2013 deployment, upgrade, or migration by assessing your organizational needs, opportunities, and goals for your IT infrastructure. Available in 1, 3, 5, 10, or 15-day lengths, with the longer engagements allowing for more in-depth planning.
Using Planning Services days
Available in 1, 3, 5, 10, or 15-day engagements, Planning Services offer a structured yet collaborative consulting experience. The longer engagements allow for a deeper look at a specific technology and provide more in-depth analysis and deployment planning. PEI can work with you to help determine specific components to best support your organization’s needs and help ensure you have an understanding of what can and will be included in your engagement.
As a Microsoft Volume Licensing customer with Software Assurance, your organization receives a number of Planning Services days based on your licensing agreement(s). Your Software Assurance administrator can access benefits at the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). Within the VLSC, your administrator can access Planning Services days via a straightforward voucher creation and redemption process. Simply select the engagement type, create a voucher, and assign it to the chosen Planning Services partner. When the engagement is complete, your Planning
Services partner redeems the voucher and receives payment directly from Microsoft.
