There are several ways to place a call within Microsoft Lync
1. Navigate to the search bar located on the top of your contact list in Lync and type in the number
2. Click the phone icon, located at the top of your contact list, this will bring up a dial pad that you can use with your mouse
3. Go to the contact you want to call in your contact list and right click them, scroll down to call, the window will show all the different options i.e. mobile, work, lync, voicemail, etc.
4. Hover over a contact’s picture and from there a menu will appear, click on the phone icon and again the various call options will appear
