Skype for Business Video Transcript
I’m going to show you how to make a phone call with Microsoft Skype for Business. There are several ways you can do this.
One way to make a call is to navigate to the Phone Tab, and type in the number of the person you would like to call on the number pad.
Another option is to search for the contact you would like to call in the search bar at the top of your Contact List. Here, you can type in either their name or their phone number.
You can also call someone directly from your Contact List without searching by either right clicking, choosing Call, and selecting one of the options; or, you can hover over their image and select the Call Icon from the Quick Launch Bar. If I choose the down arrow next to the Call Icon, you can see this gives me all of the same options as when I right-clicked: I can choose to call Matt’s work number, his mobile number, enter a new number for him, call him online through Skype or call his voicemail directly.We’re going to call Matt by clicking Skype Call.
Once Matt is in the call, it is easy to bring someone else into the call by clicking on a contact from your Contact List and dragging and dropping him or her into the Conversation Window.
